Community Pledgebanks

Community pledgebanks are a development of the Pledgebank idea: citizens commit modest sums of money (e.g. $20) on the condition that a certain number of other citizens do so as well (e.g. 1000 people in a neighbourhood of 10,000). This creates a form of finance which sits halfway between taxation and charitable giving. Local government can also pledge to match such commitments.
