Mobilising consumers as producers

The Cida almost free business university in South Africa, created by Taddy Blecher in 2004, kept costs to a minimum by using its students in catering, cleaning and other ancillary tasks, as well as securing secondhand text books and furniture from businesses. Its students also had to help prepare their successors, creating cascades of value and motivation.
